PRIVATE GARDEN, NEAR NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME, STAFFS

The focus of this project, was to transform the almost forgotten rear garden into a space that can be enjoyed by the client, who loves to entertain and spend time outside.
AS no specification was supplied, all works have been completed to the current industry standards/best practice.
The initial task for the team, was to remove what turned out to be tarmac hard standing (a previous owner had laid this as a play area!)That was hidden under a carpet of moss.
A number of old and unsafe trees have also been removed.

Some of the old sub base materials have been re used to provide hard core for the new paved areas and paths.

New boundary walls have been erected, along with the outdoor fire place.
Trellis sections between the brick pillars allow a view to the country side beyond.
Cedar wood screens help to denote the boundary for this part of the garden, whilst still allowing a view through to the pool area (phase 2)

The new breeze house provides a great place to enjoy the new paving and lush planting.

A very subtle lighting scheme has also been included along with lighting and heating in the breeze house, there is also provision here for a fridge!

Award Winner

We are thrilled that the scheme won an award in the 2017 BALI National Landscape Awards.
